The University of British Columbia Point Grey campus sits on the traditional, unceded, and ancestral lands of the x\u02b7m\u0259\u03b8k\u02b7\u0259y\u0313\u0259m (Musqueam) people. Over decades, many artworks have been installed that tells stories about the history of the region and provides opportunities for reflections about art, space, and place on campus. Here we invite you on a directed tour of a selection of works by First Nations and Indigenous artists. Student guides volunteering for CMBBE will lead you to the artworks around campus to provide narrations and facilitate discussions. We thank the Morris and Helen Belkin Art Gallery for providing resources vital to the development of CMBBE’s UBC Outdoor Art Tour.<\/p>

Welcome to the University of British Columbia! Sitting at the tip of Point Grey in Vancouver, the University of British Columbia sits on 400 hectares of land surrounded by the ocean to the north, west, and south and the forested Pacific Spirit Regional Park to the east. Starting at the student NEST (registration), the campus tour will bring you by some of the landmarks at UBC, such as the clock tower and Chan Centre for Performing Arts. The tour will also feature several UBC attractions, such as the recently renovated and re-opened Museum of Anthropology, the Nitobe Japanese Gardens, and the Beaty Biodiversity Museum.<\/p>\n
