The University of British Columbia Point Grey campus sits on the traditional, unceded, and ancestral lands of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam) people. Over decades, many artworks have been installed that tells stories about the history of the region and provides opportunities for reflections about art, space, and place on campus. Here we invite you on a directed tour of a selection of works by First Nations and Indigenous artists. Student guides volunteering for CMBBE will lead you to the artworks around campus to provide narrations and facilitate discussions. We thank the Morris and Helen Belkin Art Gallery for providing resources vital to the development of CMBBE’s UBC Outdoor Art Tour.
Estimated duration: 1.5 hours over 2 km of walking.
